It’s been another big week in gender ideology news! From safeguarding measures that protect children to inspiring actions by women who refused to be silenced, last week was action packed.
Almost 200 days after the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom ruled that “sex” refers to biological sex and not “gender identity,” women’s rights activists planned spectacular, pro-woman actions in Edinburgh and London calling for the Supreme Court ruling to be implemented in full. This historic rally, including violence from counter-protestors, has been documented on the official 199 Days Later Twitter account.
Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services drafted a proposal that would remove Medicaid and Medicare funding for services at hospitals that continue to push pseudoscientific “gender” treatments. Keep in mind, multiple systematic reviews have shown there is no proof these treatments have any benefit at all. Check the SEGM Digest for recent research in this area.
The Wall Street Journal published a high-profile opinion piece reflecting on the dynamics of “trans” identification in young people. Gender dysphoria diagnoses rose rose 1,500% between 2008 and 2018 in teen girls, and then more recently, the percentage of 18–22 year-olds claiming a “trans” identity was shown to be falling. This points to the social contagion model being correct, as opposed to “trans” identities being stable and lifelong. This is not even the only banger The Wall Street Journal put out this week, since they also published Pamela Paul’s piece about the growing rift between the LGB and TQ+, another topic the mainstream media loves to ignore.
Hours after the Supreme Court in Brisbane overturned a freeze on puberty blockers, the health minister reinstated it. Sall Grover weighed in gloriously, with simple, true statements such as “no child can change sex.”
In women’s rights news, last week’s sentencing we attended, in which two Russian hitmen sent to kill Masih Alinejad by the Iranian government were each sentenced to 25 years in prison, received widespread mainstream media coverage. ABC News, the New York Post, The New York Times, and others covered this high-profile terror plot where a foreign government paid to have a women’s rights activist and American citizen assassinated on American soil. Please follow and support this brave woman!
A woman was thrown out of a British arts and crafts store over a complaint about a ‘no Terfs’ badge. If the title isn’t clear, take a wild guess at who is punishing whom for wrongthink.
Three women’s fencers, including a U.S. Olympian, filed a class-action lawsuit against USA Fencing for allowing men in women’s events. Also in sports, Jonathan Kay covered one male athlete’s sixteen-year period of domination in women’s events and Elizabeth Eddy, a professional soccer player, wrote an op-ed in the New York Post calling for sex testing to ensure fairness for female athletes. Oddly, a teammate seems to think this is racist. (If you’re new to this issue, be sure to check out our Myth vs. Fact page on women’s sports.)
After encountering an aggressive man in the women’s locker room last week and peaking spectacularly, Tish Hyman, an LA-based musician, continued to impress seasoned women’s rights advocates with her candor and can-do attitude. First she put out a petition, then she started working on an anthem. Yesterday, she went viral after Gold’s Gym sided with the man and terminated her membership. Incidentally, here is an unrelated man in a wig recording women in their locker rooms. Here’s how women are treated when they try to speak out about it. Sign her petition to keep women’s spaces female only!

Helen Joyce reviewed Jo Bartosch’s and Rob Jessel’s new book, Pornocracy, for The Critic. (If you don’t know what the link between gender ideology and widespread porn consumption is, you need to be reading more Reduxx.)
In more local news, Ben Appel’s long-awaited memoir, Cis White Gay: The Making of a Gender Heretic, just came out. Be sure to support him!
